Task Group No. 448: Alternative Pathway to Certification in North America for Internationally Trained Medical Physicists (APIMP) (TG448) AAPM Members, Affiliates and Non-Member Affiliates - Login for access to additional information Activities Review requirements established by North America certification boards for internationally trained medical physicist to qualify for board certification and compare with existing pathways for domestically trained candidates.  Internationally trained refers to those individuals who have completed their didactic and clinical training in medical physics outside of North America.  Develop recommendations regarding education and training provided in a structured mentorship for internationally trained medical physicist to prepare them for independent practice and board certification in North America, and ensure the recommendations are fair when compared to requirements for domestically trained candidates.  Produce a task group report describing such recommendations.
