COVID-19 Risk Management Guidelines for Group Meetings at AAPM Headquarters

All participants of meetings hosted at AAPM HQ are expected to abide by these guidelines to help ensure a safe and healthy meeting environment:

  • All participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14-days prior to attending a meeting. 
  • Masks must be worn at all times unless you are actively eating, drinking, or working alone.
  • All participants are asked to make a reasonable effort to social distance (at least 3 ft.) from others. 
  • Please follow all posted signage and HQ team guidance when moving around HQ. 

Note the following space limitations/max capacities per room:

  • Executive Conference Room (Floor 2): 8 persons
  • Café (Floor 2): 12 persons
  • Belle Haven (Floor 3): 4 persons
  • Potomac Yards (Floor 4): 6 persons
  • Rosemont (Floor 4): 4 persons

Additional Information:

  • The HQ HVAC infrastructure has been upgraded with technology to reduce certain viruses and bacteria in the air, including SARS-CoV-2.
  • Sanitization stations, disposable masks and face shields, and single serve dishes and utensils will be provided throughout all meetings.

Friday, December 10
The rate secured by AAPM includes breakfast at the hotel. A freshly prepared breakfast is offered daily in the Great American Grill restaurant. Coffee, tea and light snacks will be available at AAPM HQ. A full Breakfast will NOT be served at AAPM HQ.

Saturday, December 11
The rate secured by AAPM includes breakfast at the hotel. A freshly prepared breakfast is offered daily in the Great American Grill restaurant. Coffee, tea and light snacks will be available at AAPM HQ. A full Breakfast will NOT be served at AAPM HQ.

Travel by Metro
The closest metro station to the hotel is King Street (yellow or blue line) which is 2 stops from Reagan National (DCA). The fare is approx. $2.00 one-way, depending time of day, transit time is approximately 10 minutes. The hotel is 2 blocks from the King Street station [map].

Travel from Reagan National Airport (DCA)
If you are comfortable with mass transit, take the blue or yellow line to the King Street station which is 2 stops from Reagan National (DCA). Depending on the time of day, transit time is approximately 10 minutes and the cost is ~$3. The AAPM Headquarters Office is located on 1631 Prince Street in Alexandria, VA [map].

Otherwise, a cab or Uber ride is approximately 18 minutes or more, depending on traffic.

Travel by Train

If you are traveling by train, the closest stop is the Alexandria station on Amtrak. The station is a six minute walk (.3 mile) to 1631 Prince Street.

Travel by Car
The AAPM Headquarters Office is located on 1631 Prince Street in Alexandria, VA [map]. Some metered parking is available on Prince Street. Note there is a 3-hour time limit for street parking. You will need to find a nearby parking kiosk to pay with cash or credit card; the rate is $1.75/hour. Or use the parking garage, 1700 Diagonal Road, daily max $14.
