For a Society or other organization to become an AAPM-Related Society of the AAPM, the following conditions must be met: 1. The organization must be legally incorporated as a non-profit organization and must have at least 50 members. 2. The organization must hold a 501 (3)C tax status. 3. A majority of the members must be medical physicists or other health-care professionals who work in disciplines closely aligned with medical physics. 4. The primary reason(s) for the organization's existence must be one of the following: a. Support and promotion of scientific and educational activities directly related to medical physics. b. Support and promotion of the application of physics to the practice of medicine. c. Dissemination of educational materials on medical physics topics to medical physicists. |
