Governance

Upon the conclusion of the election process, the newly elected Officers, Board Members-at-Large and Chapter Board Representatives will be added as ex-officio, non-voting guests to the Board of Directors roster and e-mail alias for the remainder of the year. This policy will also apply to chapter-elected Board Members as of the time of their election.

As a Board Designate, each guest will:

1. Receive electronic correspondence addressed to the Board (e-mails, meeting materials, BBS threads);
2. Be invited to attend all Board meetings as a guest, with seating in the gallery; and,
3. Be invited to participate in the New Board Member Orientation at the AAPM Headquarters Office in the fall, with travel expenses reimbursed by the AAPM.

As an Officer Designate, each guest will:

1. Receive electronic correspondence addressed to EXCOM, the Board and the Strategic Planning Committee (e-mails, meeting materials, BBS threads);
2. Be invited to attend all EXCOM, Board and Strategic Planning Committee meetings as a guest, with seating in the gallery during Board meetings;
3. Be invited to participate in all EXCOM meetings occurring after the Annual Meeting, with travel reimbursed by the AAPM; and
4. Be reimbursed for reasonable additional expenses incurred because of travel changes made to participate in EXCOM activities during the AAPM Annual Meeting.

As a Council Chair Designate, each will:

1. Be added as a voting member on the appropriate Council's current roster;
2. Be added as a non-voting, ex-officio member to the Strategic Planning Committee;
3. Be added as a non-voting, ex-officio member to the Finance Committee; and
4. Be invited to participate in the Fall Meetings at the AAPM Headquarters Office with travel reimbursed by the AAPM.
