[This policy governs situations where AAPM members are contracted to perform services on behalf of AAPM. This policy does not apply to the Editors and Editors-in-Chief of AAPM's Journals, who are covered under a separate administrative policy]

AAPM may contract with members of the association in order to provide specific services, for example as editor of the newsletter or the website. Such contracts may or may not include compensation from AAPM. AAPM oversight of such independent contractors requires an efficient reporting structure for facilitating contract negotiations and other activities related to the members' contracted work for AAPM. This policy is meant to specifically identify the voting members of the AAPM Executive Committee (EXCOM) - including the Chair of the Board, President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, as the group responsible for overseeing the contract negotiations, performance evaluations, contract terminations, and other related activities. The presidential chain (COB, President, and President-Elect) shall direct negotiations with individual or groups of members on behalf of EXCOM, with a majority vote of EXCOM required to approve any action.
