Air Travel
Most convenient airports are
1. Baltimore Washington International (BWI) - about 25 minutes away by cab
An
Express Bus
runs from BWI to the Greenbelt Metro station (green line). Fare is $3. The Greenbelt Marriott has a complimentary van pick up from the Greenbelt station. Upon arriving at the station, please call the hotel at 301-441-3700 and request a pick up. The hours for this service are 7:00am - 10:00pm.
2. Reagan National (DCA) - about 35 minutes away by cab; or take metro.
American Center for Physics is a 7-minute walk from the College Park stop on the Green Line. As you exit the station with River Road in front of you, turn right and walk about .3 miles to the 5-story white building on your right.
To take the DC Metro from DCA to the hotel: Take the Yellow Line to Gallery Place.
Switch to the Green Line, and get off at the last stop, Greenbelt. The Greenbelt Marriott has a complimentary van pick up from the Greenbelt station. Upon arriving at the station, please call the hotel at 301-441-3700 and request a pick up. The hours for this service are 7:00am - 10:00pm.
3. Washington Dulles International (IAD) - about 50 minutes away or more; potentially brutal traffic.
Train Travel
If you are traveling on the east coast, the closest stop is the New Carrolton station on Amtrak. The station is about 15 minutes away by cab.
Car Rental
AAPM will reimburse you for car rental for the Spring Meetings. If you decide to rent a car, you may be asked to offer rides to other committee members traveling between the hotel and AAPM headquarters.
