Travel from Reagan National Airport (DCA)
Normally we would encourage you to use the convenient Metrorail system. King Street metro station (yellow or blue line) is 2 stops from Reagan National (DCA). However, the King Street-Old Town Metro access improvement project may interfere with your trip. Until this project is completed, we encourage you to use Uber or take a cab to and from the airport.
Travel by Air
Most convenient airports are:
- Reagan National (DCA) - about 4 miles away by cab; two stops by metro.
- Washington Dulles International (IAD) - about 32 miles away by cab; potentially brutal traffic.
Travel by Train
If you are traveling by train, the closest stop is the Alexandria station on Amtrak. The station is a six minute walk (.3 mile) to 1631 Prince Street.
Travel by Car
The AAPM Headquarters Office is located on 1631 Prince Street in Alexandria, VA [map].
Some metered parking is available on Prince Street. Note there is a
3-hour time limit for street parking. You will need to find a nearby
parking kiosk to pay with cash or credit card; the rate is $1.75/hour.
Or use the parking garage, 1700 Diagonal Road, daily max $14.
