The Educators Resource Guide identifies and provides information on a variety of resources such as curriculum guides, textbooks, online modules, references, and much more that can be used by medical physicists in the development of educational materials for students or to enhance their own professional development as educators.
Resources organized by category of learners (physics graduate students, radiology residents, etc) in specific program areas.
Resources to help medical physicists as educators:
General Resources:
- Encyclopedia of Medical Physics
- Creating Teaching Image Repositories
(Enhancing Medical Physics Teaching with Image Repositories and Shared Resources
P. Sprawls. Medical Physics International Journal, vol.8, No.3, 2020)
- Living Physics Portal is a free, NSF-funded, open-access hub—managed by the American Association of Physics Teachers—where instructors share, adapt, and discuss peer-reviewed curricular materials for Introductory Physics for the Life Sciences (IPLS) and related courses. Hundreds of vetted activities, problem sets, labs, course outlines, and assessment tools are available; registering (at no cost) as a verified educator unlocks full downloads with solutions and access to additional user-contributed resources, as well as the ability to contribute materials and join community discussions and events. The brief sign-up requires an academic e-mail, a short profile, e-mail verification, and approval by the portal team to confirm educator status, after which all content and forums become fully accessible.
The Educator’s Resource Guide Working Group manages the content on this site and welcomes your feedback and recommendations for content modifications.
