Registration Open

  • EARLY Registration Deadline: June 21, 2017 (11:59 PM ET)
  • Beware of registration poachers! Convention Data Services is the official registration service provider. If you are approached by any company other than Convention Data Services regarding AAPM Annual Meeting registration, please be aware that they have no relationship with AAPM. You put yourself at financial risk if you provide them your credit card information. Look for this logo to instantly identify a legitimate AAPM service provider.
  • Already registered? Visit the Registration Resource Center to review your registration, make edits or print an online receipt.
  • Forget your Badge ID? Visit the Locate Your Login Information page for assistance.
  • If you need assistance with registration, please call AAPM's registration call center: 508-743-8511 or aapm@xpressreg.net
  • Please note: children ages 11 and under are not allowed into the exhibit hall or session rooms.

Badge Beacons

This year a small, battery-powered wireless device will be attached to your badge. This device is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon that communicates with sensors placed throughout the venue. Although the device is synced with your registration ID, it contains no personal information. AAPM cannot track your movements outside of designated session rooms and the exhibit hall. The data we receive allows us to confirm attendance at SAMs sessions (for those who register for SAMs), as well as to see overall traffic trends which helps us in future planning.

All SAM registrants are required to use a beacon for attendee verification in sessions.

We ask that you return the beacon as you leave on your last day. Please look for designated drop off locations in the Convention Center and in the HQ office.

Cancellations

  • Fees for registration will be refunded in full if written notice of cancellation is received by July 5, 2017.
  • No refund will be given for cancellations received after July 5.
  • Please send your written cancellation and refund request to aapm@xpressreg.net

MOC/SAM

Many AAPM members now require Maintenance of Certification (MOC) as defined by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Completion of Self Assessment CE (SA-CE) per year is a requirement for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) process as defined by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Information regarding the MOC requirments can be found at What is MOC. SAM are not required, but can be used to meet the (SA-CE) requirements. In order to earn SA-CE credit you are required to (1) verify your attendance at each SAM session and (2) answer SAM questions in the online evaluation. There is no pass/fail and you will not be graded on your responses.

How Do I Register for a Participation Device (PD) to be used for audience verification in SAM sessions at the 2017 AAPM Annual Meeting?

  1. Pre-register for the meeting.

  2. During the registration process, you will be asked if you require Maintenance of Certification (MOC) as defined by ABR.  Say YES.

  3. You will be given the option to register for SAM ($10) to be verified using beacon technology.

  4. When you arrive at the Colorado Convention Center to pick up your badge and program materials, your badge number will be paired with a beacon.

  5. Go to the SAM sessions of your choice.  Upon entering a designated SAM session, your attendance will automatically be verified via your beacon. You must attend the entire SAM session to be eligible to obtain SAM credit.

  6. Unlike past years, the speaker will not ask interactive questions.  Instead, you will go online to the CEC evaluation to answer questions. There is no pass/fail and you will not be graded on your responses. The deadline to answer the SAM questions is September 5, 2017 at 11:59 PM ET.

  7. Post meeting, AAPM posts SAM credits to the CME Gateway accounts of each SAM participant. The SAM credits will pass through the CME Gateway to the ABR. Please sign onto the CME Gateway to view your SAM credits.

  8. To earn credit you must complete the an online CEC evaluation for the SAM session, including the SAM questions. Internet terminals will be available on-site for this purpose. You may also use your own laptop, phone or iPAD during, between or after sessions. Please note you will require your badge I.D. in order to complete the session survey.

  9. Learn more about the new SAM process here.

Don't require Maintenance of Certification, but still want to sit in on a SAM session?

No problem.  The sessions are open to all registered scientific attendees.
