Partners for the Future

It is time to think about the future and educate the raising students in the Medical Physics field!

Again, this year, we will continue the Partners for the Future Program, connecting Corporate Affiliates and students at the AAPM Annual Meeting.

Participating corporate affiliates will be conducting demonstrations designed specifically for trainees, with the purpose of providing students with:

  • Contacts for future purchases/partnerships
  • Awareness of what products are available and will become available in the next couple years, and how they will help with clinical workflows
  • What opportunities exist for collaboration with each company and how they utilize clinical medical physicists to inform their product development

Students are encouraged to make the connection with your Partners for the Future.

JOIN THE FUN....get to know your future partners...and win!
NEW!!! Students will have the opportunity to win a $100 Amazon gift card and here’s how:
  • When Student registrants pick up registration materials, they will be given a 'Get to know your Future Partner' card.
  • Each 'Get to know your Future Partner' card will list questions provided by corporate affiliate partners participating in the program. The questions can be educational or fun!
  • Students will be instructed to visit each participating corporate affiliate to learn about their company and to figure out the answer to the questions listed on the card.
  • Once a card is complete, drop it off at the AAPM Member Resources counter, located at the front of Hall A.
  • All cards must be submitted NO LATER than 1:30 pm, Wednesday, August 2nd.
  • The drawing will take place at 1:45 pm on Wednesday, August 2nd.
  • Participants do not need to be present in order to win. In order to qualify, all questions must be answered correctly. The winner will be notified following the meeting.

Schedule an Appointment / Make a Connection

Corporate affiliate partners welcome the opportunity to meet with students anytime thoroughout the Annual Meeting. However, students are also invited to schedule appointments with vendors as well.

  • To schedule an appointment:
    • Pre-Meeting: Corporate partners have identified specific dates and time on the calendar below to be used for scheduling appointments pre-meeting. Contact the company directly to make the appointment.
    • At the Meeting:
      • Participating corporate affiliates will be identified with a floor decal placed in the aisle at their booth. Students can visit the vendor at any time during the meeting to schedule an appointment. Please note, it is recommended students approach vendors early in the meeting if scheduling at the booth.
      • If you would like to walk around with a group of other Students, here are specific times. The group will meet at the Member Services Desk located in Hall A, Level 2 of the Convention Center to walk through Exhibit Hall:
        • Sunday 3:00 PM
        • Monday 3:45 PM
        • Tuesday 3:45 PM
        • Wednesday 10:15 AM
