- NEMA XR 27-2013 (R2018) "X-ray Equipment for Interventional Procedures User Quality Control Mode" is an amendment to the original XR27 standard released in 2013. The standard defines a set of minimum requirements designed to facilitate quality control activities on x-ray interventional fluoroscopy equipment. The 2018 revision adds mobile equipment to the original standard that was limited to fixed equipment.
- NEMA XR 31-2016 "Standard Attributes on X-ray Equipment for Interventional Procedures" is intended to identify key features of stationary interventional x-ray equipment to enhance patient care and manage patient radiation dose. These features include things like dose indicators, added filtration, air kerma rate modes, last image hold, etc.
- NEMA White Paper XE PE-2018 "Modification of Image Displays of Interventional X-ray Equipment: Issues to be Considered" discusses issues and risks when the original image display system is replaced by a 3rd party display system that has not been validated by the original equipment manufacturer.
