General Information
Convention Center
The 51st American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting and Technical Exhibitions will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802. Visit the Anaheim Convention Center & Visitors Bureau http://www.anaheimoc.org for information on Anaheim and points of interest.
AAPM will use Exhibit Hall C on Level One, Street level of the Anaheim Convention Center. The exhibit hall will have a combination of 10 feet x 10 feet and island booths. Moderated Poster Discussion and Standard Poster sessions will be held in Exhibit Hall B. View a detailed layout of Level One here.
The Scientific Sessions will be conducted in meeting rooms on Levels II and III. View a layout of the levels two and three of the Convention Center here.

Hall B and C have 20’6” – 25”feet.

Hall C has 16 3X3 feet columns.
Electrical Information
There are 12 load centers, located on the catwalks, 8 have 2-100 amp, 1-200 amp 277/480 volt services and 2-100 amp, 1-200 amp 120/208 services. 4 have 2-200 amp 277/480 volt and 3-100 amp, 4-200 amp 120/208-volt services with cam-locks. Each column has a 50-amp qual-ark receptacle.
Electrical Hookups:
All hookups to building electrical service must be made or approved by the Anaheim Convention Center Electrician's.
Exhibit Hall Entrances
There are two entrances; one to each exhibit hall. The main entrance into the Exhibits is at Hall C. The entrance is indicated on the floor plan so please note when selecting your requested booth spaces.

Sunday Opening: Exhibits open on Sunday afternoon in conjunction with Scientific Moderated Poster Discussion Sessions.
A box lunch will be served for the Sunday; 1:00 pm break to coincide with the opening of the Technical Exhibits. Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be served at 4:30 PM for the afternoon break.
AAPM will be promoting the exhibit hours to meeting attendees, highlighting the boxed lunch and beer break, encouraging them to visit the exhibit hall on Sunday.
After Sunday, no scientific sessions will occur during the designated break times. All attendees will be encouraged to enter the exhibit hall and interact with vendors. "Young Adult" registrants (ages 12 - 17) will be allowed in the exhibit hall with adult supervision. "Child" registrants (age 11 and under) will not be admitted.
Refreshment Breaks: Refreshments will be served in the lounge areas of the exhibit hall.

A full day of sessions will be scheduled for Thursday in Anaheim.
Hotel Information
Housing reservations will be handled by the Housing Connection / AAPM Housing Bureau.
For Exhibitors with Room Block Reservations: The Housing Bureau will hold room blocks with a deposit. Personnel names with final arrival/ departure dates are due in writing no later than June 19, 2009. This is a strict deadline, and room blocks will be re-leased if names are not supplied by this date.
For Individual Exhibitor Reservations with No Room Blocks: You may prefer to make individual housing reservations by linking to 'Online Housing' when available or you can use the 'Exhibitor Housing Form' also when available.
Exhibitors are STRONGLY encouraged to use designated AAPM hotels.

Exhibitors' Breakfast
The Exhibitors' Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, July 29 from 8:00 am until 9:00 am of the Convention Center. A representative from each registered exhibiting organization is invited to attend. This is an opportunity for Exhibitors to provide feedback and suggestions, discuss the move out procedures, and future society meetings.

AAPM Service Project
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans. Does your travel schedule allow you to arrive in Anaheim a day early? Join your colleagues on a California beach for a little community service, a little physics chatter, a little sun. You and your family members are invited to participate in a local beach clean up on Saturday, July 25, 8:00am-Noon.
A bus will transport volunteers from the Anaheim Convention Center at 8:00am. Pre-registration is required (no fee). Look for more details coming soon.
