NEW SAM PROCESS

In an effort to provide increased SAM offerings and to allow the maximum time for speakers to adequately cover presentation content, the AAPM has implemented a new SAM Process.

Those who register for the SAM Participation Device (PD) should stop at the Participation Device registration counter so your PD can be activated.

SAM session attendance will be automatically verified via a Participation Device as you enter the session room. Complete the SAM session questions using the Online Evaluation System.  SAM questions are no longer embedded in SAM presentations, so audience interaction is not needed.

NIGHT OUT – NEWSEUM

Tuesday 6:30pm – 10:00pm
View the Night Out Flyer »

The 2016 Night Out will not be a dinner event. You will be disappointed if you come to the Night Out expecting a meal.  Instead, you are encouraged to meet your colleagues at the venue for limited light snacks and then make your way to one of the many restaurants in the area for dinner. Or, dine first and make your way to the event for a bite of something sweet at the end of the evening!  We have compiled a list of restaurants located between the Convention Center and The Newseum, and encourage you to either make reservations on your own, or with help from the restaurant desk at the Convention Center. View restaurant list »

This change has been made in an effort to contain costs, but still provide an opportunity for attendees to socialize with colleagues and see a bit of Washington, DC. The Newseum has been named by TripAdvisor as one of the top 25 museums. Fifteen galleries display 500 years of news history in a unique place where you can travel through time, history and media.

Buses will depart from the L Street entrance of the Convention Center and loop continually to the Newseum. If you decide to walk, please use the 555 Pennsylvania Avenue entrance. Don’t forget your ticket, required for entrance to The Newseum.

Please note: Each adult Night Out ticket will include 1 drink ticket, good for beer or a glass of wine. Once your ticket is used, cash will be accepted. Non-alcoholic drinks will not require a ticket.

LUNCH BUNDLE VOUCHERS – GOOD ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY

All scientific registrants will receive (2) lunch vouchers redeemable for lunch 'bundles' in the exhibit hall -- one voucher is good for Monday, and one for Tuesday between 12:15pm-1:45pm. Pick up a lunch in one of the 2 designated areas in the exhibit hall.
