Tickets are $14 per person. Please note that this ticket is included in some registration categories. Tickets may also be purchased on site at the AAPM Meeting registration area in the convention center.
The American Association of Physicists in Medicine will honor AAPM award winners during a ceremony followed by a wine and cheese reception.
Enjoy live music provided by Uncommon Bond (Winston-Salem, NC) on the Ballroom Terrace. Band members are AAPM Member Dan Bourland on drums and vocals, Brian Haskell on keyboards and vocals, Cliff Jordan on guitar, Jennifer Jordan as the main vocalist, and Bob Russ on bass and vocals.
Guest musicians from within the AAPM will join Uncommon Bond midway through their set.
Dr. Charles Lescrenier Annual 5K Run/Walk sponsored by GAMMEX
Tuesday, July 31 • 6:00am start time; buses depart from the convention center at 5:15am. Don't be late!

Race Results
The 5K course starts and finishes at Freedom Park. The course is relatively flat and winds through the park beginning at the lake, along the paved greenway, between the athletic fields and back to a finishing loop around the lake. It is all contained in the park with the exception of a short piece on a public sidewalk.
Registered participants must come by the AAPM Meeting registration area in the convention center on Monday, July 30, between 10:00am and 2:00pm, to sign a waiver and pick up a race number and t-shirt.
The GAMMEX 5K Run/Walk has been renamed the Dr. Charles Lescrenier Annual 5K Run/Walk in memory of Charles Lescrenier (1935-2011), founder and President of GAMMEX Inc. and one of the pioneers in the development of radiation quality assurance products. Dr. Lescrenier will be remembered for his support of the medical physics profession and the AAPM. GAMMEX's longstanding support of the 5K Run/Walk began in 1981, the inaugural year of the event.

The AAPM Women Professionals Subcommittee (WPSC) would like to invite women physicists to participate in a unique networking event for women medical physicists during the annual meeting in Charlotte. This lunch event is designed to provide women physicists an opportunity to interact with each other and women leaders from clinical, academic, and industry settings. It is also an opportunity to network, discuss issues pertaining to women's professional development, and for you to share your ideas on how the WPSC can best serve your needs.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame opened its doors in May 2010 with 150,000 square feet of history, 50 hands-on exhibits and nearly 1,000 artifacts. No need to be a hard-core NASCAR fan to appreciate
the 31 meticulously maintained automobiles spanning seven decades, or to discover how downforce and drag impact the car and driver. The museum is adjacent to the Charlotte Convention Center; a convenient walk down a hallway from where sessions will take place.

8:00pm - 10:00pm: Live Entertainment - The Mo' Money Band
The Mo' Money Band has long been one of Charlotte's hottest and most consistent performing bands. The band is composed of five of the area’s top studio musicians/songwriters/producers all or which have performed with and/or recorded with national acts. Mo' Money features Rodney Shelton (Key bass, keys, background vocals), Ziad (Sax, keys), Mandyl Evans (lead vocals), and Michelle Smith (Lead and Background Vocals, Keys). The band has an extensive, varied song list which encompasses full repertoires of current dance music hits, 70's, 80's, and pop dance, old school and contemporary R & B, modern jazz instrumentals, oldies, beach, and even a touch of reggae, blues, and alternative rock. The band has opened for Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Roberta Flack, Fattburger with Paul Taylor and Keiko Matsui, Jeffrey Osborne, & Kim Waters. They were also joined onstage for two full sets by the late sax legend Grover Washington, Jr.
Please note: Each adult Night Out ticket will include 1 drink ticket, good for beer or a glass of wine. Once your ticket is used, cash will be accepted. Nonalcoholic drinks will not require a ticket.
