Convention Center
The 52nd American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting and Technical Exhibitions will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC), 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Visit the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau for information on Philadelphia and points of interest.
AAPM will use Exhibit Halls A and B on Level Two of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The exhibit hall will have a combination of 10 feet x 10 feet and larger island booths. Moderated Poster Discussion and Standard Poster sessions will be held in Exhibit Hall B.
The Scientific Sessions will be conducted on Level 2 and the Ballroom Level.

Exhibit Hall Ceiling Height
Hall A and B have a low clearance ceiling height of 29 feet and a high clearance height of 51 feet.
Exhibit Hall Columns
Hall A has 16 6X6 feet columns on 120 foot centers.
Electrical Information
Electrical Service is provided exclusively by PCC Client Utility Services Department. Electrical originates from floor boxes on 30 foot centers.
Electrical Hookups
All hookups to building electrical service must be made or approved by the PCC Client Utility Services Department.
Exhibit Hall Entrances
There are two entrances; one to each exhibit hall. The main entrance into the Exhibits is at Hall A. The entrance is indicated on the floor plan so please note when selecting your requested booth spaces.
CONVENTION CENTER LABOR REGULATIONS LOOSENED!
For those concerned with Philadelphia Labor Laws, the Convention Center loosened its Labor Laws in 2003, allowing exhibitors to do more themselves and no longer requires Union Labor to perform certain tasks. Sunday Opening: Exhibits open on Sunday afternoon in conjunction with Scientific Moderated Poster Discussion Sessions.
Ice cream novelties will be served for the Sunday; 1:00 pm break to coincide with the opening of the Technical Exhibits. Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be served between 3 and 4 PM for the afternoon break.
AAPM will be promoting the exhibit hours to meeting attendees, encouraging them to visit the exhibit hall on Sunday.
After Sunday, no scientific sessions will occur during the designated break times. All attendees will be encouraged to enter the exhibit hall and interact with vendors. "Young Adult" registrants (ages 12 - 17) will be allowed in the exhibit hall with adult supervision. "Child" registrants (age 11 and under) will not be admitted.
Refreshment Breaks: Refreshments will be served in the lounge areas of the exhibit hall.

A half day of sessions will be scheduled for Thursday in Philadelphia.

Exhibitors' Breakfast
The Exhibitors' Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, July 21 from 8:00 am until 9:00 am in Room 107B of the Convention Center. A representative from each registered exhibiting organization is invited to attend. This is an opportunity for Exhibitors to provide feedback and suggestions, discuss the move out procedures, and future society meetings.
Hotel Information
Housing reservations will be handled by the Housing Connection / AAPM Housing Bureau, available March 18.
For Exhibitors with Room Block Reservations: The Housing Bureau will hold room blocks with a deposit. Personnel names with final arrival/ departure dates are due in writing no later than June 11, 2010. This is a strict deadline, and room blocks will be re-leased if names are not supplied by this date.
For Individual Exhibitor Reservations with No Room Blocks: You may prefer to make individual housing reservations by linking to 'Online Housing' when available or you can use the 'Exhibitor Housing Form' also when available.
Exhibitors are STRONGLY encouraged to use designated AAPM hotels.

The Philadelphia Convention Center is just 1.5 hours from New York and 2.5 hours from Washington D. C.
Amtrak Rail Transportation: Amtrak operates trains from 30th Street Station, with service along the Northeast Corridor and points west and south. For schedules, fare and other information: 1-800-USA-RAIL.
Septa Rail Line: The R-1 connects Philadelphia International Airport directly to Center City Philadelphia, including Amtrak's 30th Street Station and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Other SEPTA Regional Rail Lines can shuttle you throughout the region: 215-580-7800. Purchase tickets in advance for a discount, or pay slightly more to purchase a ticket on-board the train with cash.
Philadelphia International Airport: There are 31 airlines serving the newly renovated Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) with 1,500 daily inbound flights. Driving Directions from Interstate 95:
Take I-95 North to Exit 22 Central Philadelphia / I- 676. Stay in the left lane of this exit. Follow signs for I-676 West to the 1st exit (Broad Street). This exit brings you up to 15th Street. Get into left lane and follow the sign for 611/Broad Street and make a left turn on to Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.
