Online Evaluation System - Available July 25 - August 26
Evaluation System Closed
OVERVIEW
- The survey will be available online Saturday, July 25 thru Wednesday, August 26. After midnight, August 26 the evaluation system will be removed and you will not have the opportunity to acquire MPCEC, SAM, or MDCB credit for the 2009 Annual Meeting or Review Courses.
- Attendees must complete the survey by August 26 in order to receive CAMPEP or MDCB credit.
- After the evaluation system closes:
- Medical Physicist registrants will be contacted with instructions for viewing the meeting transcript via the CAMPEP website. The transcript will list a description of the sessions and the number of continuing education credits obtained.
- SAM participants will be provided with a listing of sessions evaluated, to be used by the participant for self-reporting the activities to the ABR.
- Medical Dosimetrist registrants will be provided with a transcript from AAPM HQ listing credits earned to be used for self reporting credits to the MDCB.
- Your badge I.D. is required to complete the evaluation survey.
- You may only evaluate one session per time slot.
- Continuing Education Courses, Self Assessment Module Sessions (SAMs), and Symposia require you to evaluate EACH Speaker. Proffered and Moderated Poster sessions are evaluated as a whole.
- The MPCEC, SAM and MDCB credit will be released in September after the evaluation is done.

All sessions and technical exhibits will take place in the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Avenue in Anaheim. The education program and professional program will offer a significant opportunity to gain practical knowledge on emerging technical and professional issues. A major focus of the scientific program is the increasing integration of advanced imaging concepts in the routine practice of various therapies, especially radiotherapy.
Anaheim has changed dramatically in recent years. While the weather has always been perfect, Anaheim now offers The Gardenwalk, featuring 44 new restaurants and shops. Spend your evenings catching up with colleagues while walking through manicured gardens or relaxing in one of the outdoor dining areas.
Our 51st Annual Meeting is also a great destination to bring your family. AAPM's convention hotels are all within walking distance to both the convention center and Disneyland. Orange County has 42 miles of sunny California coastline just twenty minutes west of the convention center. The Pearson Park Amphitheatre offers concerts under the summer stars. Legoland California just added Sea Life, a 2-story aquarium with interactive play zones. The MUZEO is a new center for arts, knowledge, entertainment and culture housed in a historic 1908 Carnegie library building.

Industrial Physics Forum
Frontiers in Quantitative Imaging for Cancer Detection and Treatment
On behalf of the American Institute of Physics’ Corporate Associates, AAPM members are invited to attend the 2009 Industrial Physics Forum (IPF). For each of the past 51 years, this forum has brought together industry, academic, and government leaders to examine applications of scientific research to emerging industrial R&D activities. The theme of this year's IPF is “Frontiers in Quantitative Imaging for Cancer Detection and Treatment” and will be held in conjunction with the AAPM Annual Meeting. Details here.

Reducing our Annual Meeting's Impact on the Environment
AAPM staff members realize the amount of waste created by a single meeting. Most
green ideas cost nothing extra, and some even save our association money. Our efforts to
be more environmentally responsible include the following:
- The pocket program will be printed on 30% post-consumer recycled paper with soy-based ink.
- The Anaheim Convention Center uses certified shade-grown coffee, cage-free eggs, biodegradable and recyclable utensils, cups and serving plates, and organic catering and concessions items.
- Convention Communications, AAPM's designated door drop partner, has implemented a new initiative. For each company participating in our door drop service, Convention Communications will have a native tree planted in a U.S. ecosystem restoration project to offset the resources used in printing and the carbon used for transportation.
- Brede Exposition Services, our official service contractor, produces signs on reusable Sintra plastic. Brede reuses, then recycles miles of carpet. Aluminum and cardboard from the show floor is recycled.
