Convention Center
The 50th American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting and Technical Exhibitions will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The street address is 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, Texas 77010. Visit the George R. Brown Convention Center & Visitors Bureau for information on Houston and points of interest.
AAPM will use Exhibit Halls D-E on Level One of the George R. Brown Convention Center. The exhibit hall will have a combination of 10 feet x 10 feet and island booths. Moderated Poster Discussion and Standard Poster sessions will be held in Exhibit Hall E. View a detailed layout of Level One here.
The Scientific Sessions will be conducted in meeting rooms on Levels II. View a layout of the level two of the Convention Center here.

Exhibit Hall Ceiling Height:
Hall D and E - 35 feet.
Exhibit Hall Columns:
Hall D has eight columns and Hall E has four columns.
Electrical Information:
Hall D and E have electricity provided from the floor.
Exhibit Hall Entrances:
There will be ONE entrance into each Exhibit Hall (D and E). The entrances are indicated on the floor plan so please note when selecting your requested booth spaces.
Hotel Information
Housing reservations will be handled by the Housing Connection/AAPM Housing Bureau.
Exhibitors are STRONGLY encouraged to use designated AAPM hotels.

George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is approximately 22 miles from AAPM convention hotels and the convention center.
Official Event Travel Service
AAPM has selected Travel Destinations Management Group as the official event travel service for the 2008 Annual Meeting. Travel July 25 - August 5 and reference the AAPM Annual Meeting to receive discounts on Continental Airlines. The discount depends on the cost of the ticket. The discounts are as follows:
- 2% for one way fare less than $299
- 5% for one way fare $299-$598
- 15% for one way fare $599 or higher

The dress code is business casual for the AAPM Annual Meeting.
Exhibitors' Breakfast
The Exhibitors' Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, July 30 from 8:00 am until 9:00 am of the Convention Center. A representative from each registered exhibiting organization is invited to attend. This is an opportunity for Exhibitors to provide feedback and suggestions, discuss the move out procedures, and future society meetings.
Second Annual AAPM Blood Drive
Do you have an extra hour to save a life? Please consider donating blood during the Second Annual AAPM Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 29. Visit the Blood Donor Center in the convention center between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Units of blood will be used for patients at M.D. Anderson.
