Continuing Education Credits
The 2006 AAPM Annual Meeting will be submitted for approval for continuing education credit by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP). We anticipate that for each hour of verified attendance (this includes scientific sessions, poster discussion sessions, symposia, professional and educational courses), 1 MPCEC hour of credit will be awarded. AAPM will request up to eight (8) credits for general poster viewing.
Note: Individuals registered as Companions are not eligible for MPCEC.
CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. Review basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
2. Conduct sessions on the current state of the art and standards of practice.
3. Provide a peer interchange forum for exchanging information and concepts.
To obtain credit, attendees must complete an on-line session survey. Internet terminals will be available on-site for this purpose. You may also use your own laptop at the Wireless Lounge near the registration area, or in the comfort of your hotel room. Please note you will require your badge I.D. in order to complete the CEC session survey. A paper session tracker has been included in your registration tote, which you may find useful to track and evaluate sessions until you have time to go on-line.
You have until August 23 to complete the survey. After the meeting, registrants will be contacted with instructions for viewing the meeting transcript via the CAMPEP website. The transcript will list a description of the sessions and the number of continuing education credits obtained.
The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)has approved 243 continuing education credit hours of the meeting program, which includes the Review Courses.
The survey is now closed.
