AAPM 2002 5k Fun Run / Walk Information
Tuesday, July 16, 2002
This year's 5 km Fun Run / Walk will follow a very scenic route in Mount Royal Park,
a large park situated in the vicinity of Montreal's downtown
and not far from the hotels reserved for the conference.
The course starts and ends at Beaver Lake, a small, man made pond where ducks and seagulls swim about.
Next to the pond there is a chalet where rest rooms will be available.
The course then follows a few rolling hills that will make
the run more demanding but also more interesting. The race's midpoint is a
chalet from where one can see striking views of Montreal.
The course is then all downhill, which makes for a fast
end of the race, and finishes at Beaver Lake, where refreshments will be available.
Awards will be provided in selected categories.
Results and awards will be available at the GAMMEX RMI booth by approximately 11:15 AM on race day.
5k Fun Run / Walk Schedule:
Monday, July 15
10:00 am - 2:00 pm -- Number pick up at the Palais
Tuesday, July 16
6:15 AM: Meet bus at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel (side entrance).
7:00 AM: Run starts.
7:40 AM: Run finishes.
8:10 AM: Bus is back at the Queen Elizabeth.
