Objectives & Outline
Objectives:
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to
- Explain the utility of an effective incident learning system
- Learn how to design corrective actions and provide feedback to department members
- Effectively undertake root cause analyses of radiation oncology incidents
- Use specific tools to promote a positive "safety culture" in an organization
- Design a Practice Quality Improvement (PQI) project in patient safety
Program Outline
- All sessions take place at the Goldberg Auditorium, UCSD Moores Cancer Center, unless otherwise noted.
- Registrants are encouraged to bring a laptop or iPad; the auditorium will have wi-fi. Presentation handouts will be posted as .pdfs.
- Rental of an Audience Response Unit (ARU) to participate in Self Assessment Modules (SAMs) is included in your registration fee.
