John R. Cameron Young Investigator Competition Finalists
Each year the AAPM conducts a Young Investigators' Competition for the Annual Meeting. Young Investigators were encouraged to submit abstracts for the competition. The 12 highest scored Young Investigator submissions determined by abstract reviewers are selected to be presented in a special symposium, in honor of University of Wisconsin Professor Emeritus John R. Cameron, Ph.D.
The Memorial Session in Honor of John R. Cameron: Young Investigators Symposium will be held Sunday, July 18 (4:00 - 6:00) in Ballroom B of the Convention Center.
The top 3 winners will be recognized during the AAPM Awards and Honors Ceremony Monday, July 19 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm in Ballroom B in the Convention Center.
The Ceremony to be followed by a reception until 8:30 pm.

An incorrect company description for K & S Associates was listed in the June issue of Medical Physics Journal, Online Buyers Guide and meeting Pocket Program. The correct company description is:
K & S Associates, Inc. is an independent medical physics consulting organization offering accredited calibration services, professional calculation software (Diamond) and TLD patient dose measurement services. K&S is accredited by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) as an Accredited Dosimetry Calibration Laboratory (ADCL) offering a full range of radiation therapy calibrations from 10 kVp to
250 kVp x-rays, 137Cs and 60Co gamma rays and all LDR (103Pd, 125I, 192Ir, 131Cs) and HDR (192Ir) brachytherapy calibrations and diagnostic x-ray calibrations from mammography (23-35kVp), radiographic (40-150 kVp), fluoroscopic (80-120 kVp) and CT (110-140 kVp).
K&S is also accredited by the Health Physics Society (HPS) as an Accredited Instrument Calibration Laboratory (AICL) for the calibration of survey instruments for x-rays (30- 250kVp), 137Cs and 60Co gamma rays. K&S is the only secondary accredited laboratory for the calibrations of environmental level instruments (to 15 uR/h). K&S offers TLD patient dose measurement services for the verification of patient treatments. The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) accredits K&S for all of the above services plus the accreditation of kVp, time, voltage, current and light meter calibrations.
The Diamond Dose Calculation Management software is used to check patient treatment plans including IMRT and calculations of the Varian RapidArc treatment and other IMAT modalities and provides the documentation for quality assurance in radiation oncology. Diamond is distributed world wide by PTW Freiburg.
