- Current Practices in Education for Medical Residents Survey
We are inviting medical physicists who teach physics to radiation oncology residents to participate in a survey informing current practices in education for medical residents. The goal is to provide a benchmark for current curriculum and teaching methods for this audience and provide awareness of the 2023 AAPM/ASTRO recommendations. This data will help inform the next revision of the curriculum recommendations by medical physicists.

Radiation Oncology Incident Learning System® (RO-ILS)
RO-ILS Releases New Themed Report on Rushing: The latest RO-ILS education is a detailed exploration of where rushing and/or scheduling contributed to events being reported to the program since 2014. The new RO-ILS Themed Report contains aggregate analysis comparing rushing and non-rushing cohorts in the database, four case examples, and mitigation strategies. The findings related to problem type, treatment techniques, contributing factors, and more can inform areas requiring additional focus and improvement activities so don’t miss reading this report!

- In vivo Dosimetry: A Practical Guide
Topic: Securing Grants in Early Career
Synopsis: This webinar will provide an overview of available options for in vivo dosimetry with a practical, clinical focus. In light of the recent OSLD recall, many physicists will need to be aware of and begin implementing other options for in vivo dosimetry
This webinar will provide a deeper understanding of the pros and cons of each option as well as practical aspects of implementing each technology clinically.
Speakers: Patricia Oliver, Paola Alvarez, Wesley Culberson, Gary S.B. Lim, Kyle Padgett, Louis Archambault

Corgi Phantom:
The Corgi Phantom is designed to evaluate cone beam CT systems. The modular phantom can be configured for different scan sizes, providing tests for multi-axis high resolution, sensitometry, cone beam artifacts, and uniformity. Additionally, the phantom includes holes for measuring dose. |
|
|
Liver Phantom:
The Liver Phantom combines the advantages of objective test objects and anthropomorphic elements for evaluation of advanced iterative processing. The phantom includes low contrast test objects designed both for ROC tests along with conventional patterns, metal artifact inserts, and beads for MTF calculations. |
