AAPM Statement on the Ukraine Crisis
- The American Association of Physicists in Medicine condemns the invasion of Ukraine and its destructive impact. AAPM stands in support of the Ukrainian medical physics community, their families, and their institutions that provide research, education and clinical care. We support the provision and restoration of medical services for those who have cancer, illnesses and injuries. We support actions that promote and seek to emplace universal human rights and freedoms and call for a resolute and peaceful end to all hostilities.
COVID-19 UPDATE
- AAPM currently allows in-person meetings and AAPM-funded travel for those fully vaccinated, with the understanding that individuals may participate virtually if they do not feel comfortable traveling. Meetings at AAPM HQ must follow guidelines established by EXCOM as appropriate to circumstances at the time of the meeting.

Analysis of AAPM’s First EDI Climate Survey
In 2020, AAPM completed its first ever equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) climate survey. The survey’s goals were to reveal areas of success and areas in need of improvement at the national and local chapter level within AAPM. This webinar will provide a thorough review of the survey’s findings and provide a space for all AAPM members to understand what actions may take place now as a result of the findings.
