    Topic: Total-Body PET: History and Future
    Synopsis: The first hints of the total body PET concept appeared in the early 1990s when Terry Jones described a long axial field of view PET scanner that could perform dynamic scanning on multiple organs at once. However, the technology of the time was inadequate to match the scale of the problem. Although a number of progressively longer PET scanners were designed, it was not until 2018 that the first total-body PET scanner was built. The marriage of this concept together with progressive improvements in PET detector technology promises a bright future, both in research and in clinical application.

• RO-ILS: Radiation Oncology Incident Learning System
  The latest RO-ILS education is a detailed exploration of dosimetrically impactful safety events that affected patients and were reported to the program since 2014. The RO-ILS Themed Report contains aggregate analysis comparing this cohort of severe events to the collective database and includes five specific case examples. The findings related to problem types, treatment techniques, etc. can inform areas requiring additional focus and improvement activities so don’t miss reading this report!
