Sexual and Gender Minority Health & Well-Being: Part 2

Synopsis: The Sexual and Gender Minority Subcommittee (SGMSC) is proud to host Part 2 of this webinar series. In this webinar we will have an invited speaker from the Sexual and Gender Minority Research Office (SGMRO) of the NIH discuss the background and structure of the SGMRO, recently funded research projects, and discuss what Medical Physicists can do to support the NIH goals in enhancing care for Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) populations. The SGMSC will provide a framework for how Medical Physicists can provide affirming and inclusive care. The webinar will conclude with Clinical Scenarios within Radiology and Radiation Oncology led by the Moderators. There will also be a Q&A at the end of the webinar. We are excited to provide the Medical Physics community with organization awareness regarding the SGMRO of the NIH and provide a practical roadmap for serving this patient population. We hope you will take the time to join us!
