- New RO-ILS Case Study on Plan Sum
The radiation oncology team, particularly radiation oncologists and treatment planners, are creating and referencing plan sums more often, however there are limitations that could impact clinical decision making. RO-ILS Case Study 14 describes an event in which the maximum dose of the plan sum was less than the two individual treatment plans. This educational resource provides an easy-to-understand technical explanation and 8 mitigation strategies. Previous RO-ILS reports and education are also on the RO-ILS website and ASTRO staff are available to help with enrollment, implementation, and other needs.

- Webinar #3 | AAPM Webinar Series on Non-Clinical Medical Physics Careers, Resources, Opportunities and Networking
Topic: MPLA and EDIC Applied to Non-Clinical Careers
Synopsis: Dr. Ashley Cetnar, assistant professor at the Ohio State University, will share resources available to non-clinical professionals through the Medical Physics Leadership Academy (MPLA). In particular, she will cover what the MPLA is and why leadership is important to medical physicists with non-clinical roles. Further, she will cover how to get involved with MPLA and how to grow as a leader. Two particular initiatives she will cover are the MPLA Leadership Club and the MPLA Cohorts. Lindsay Jones is a highly experienced medical physicist with more than fourteen years of professional experience. She serves as the Accessibility Subcommittee (ASC) Chair under the auspices of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDIC) Committee of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM). In her upcoming presentation, Ms. Jones will expound on the intersection between disability projects and non-clinical physics duties, as well as her duties as the ASC Chair and disability advocate. Furthermore, she will share her experience as a disability advocate and impart knowledge on how physicists can create an inclusive environment that caters to the needs of all individuals.

- Webinar #33 | AAPM Webinar Series on Advances in Medical Physics
Topic: PULSAR - Optimizing Immuno-Radiotherapy based on Intra-fraction Immune Response
Synopsis: Radiotherapy has been shown to provide both immunostimulator and immunosuppressive effects. The variable of time between radiation treatment has been “off limits” to exploit related fear of tumor accelerated proliferation particularly seen with conventional fractionation. However, this dogma should be challenged with SAbR-like treatment where literally months of control are observed with even single treatments. We show that PULSAR, a method inserting weeks/months between treatments can provide immunestimulation and other opportunities, particularly when combined with immuno-oncology drugs. We will review this experience and discuss trials of PULSAR in the clinic.
