MRI Safety is an important topic where an appropriately trained and credentialed medical physicist can provide valuable support for a multi-disciplinary team in a clinical MRI environment. This symposium is aimed at providing the practicing medical physicist with the core education/information/competencies to function as a technical expert in MRI Safety topics related to electromagnetic (RF) fields and both static and time-varying magnetic fields, as well as MR-safe, MR-conditional, and MR-unsafe devices and implants.
