San Diego, with it’s near-idyllic climate and array of
world-class attractions, is the host city for the 2003 AAPM Annual
Meeting. The meeting will be held in the city’s newly renovated,
state-of-the-art Convention Center located along the shoreline
of the San Diego Bay. Begin your planning now to participate in
what should prove to be another successful meeting of the AAPM.
The scientific program will include the highest quality abstracts
in oral, moderated poster, and poster sessions on research and
clinical application topics in diagnostic and therapeutic medical
physics. Continuing education will be offered through daily courses
and a new category of educational posters to keep the membership
up to date on the current and new technologies and techniques.
Cutting edge Works-in-Progress submissions will be part of the
normal submission process. Details on the program and submission
process are posted on the AAPM website.
In addition to sessions devoted to standard sub-fields of medical
physics, this year there are a number of diagnostic, therapeutic,
and joint diagnostic-therapy symposia, mini-symposia, panel discussions,
and debates on various high profile and emerging topics:
