Icebreaker

Icebreaker BBQ to be held at 6 PM onThursday at McGill.

Night In

Due to the compressed schedule of the school, we will host a Night In at the Royal Victoria Quad. Weather permitting, we will enjoy a festive steak and salmon BBQ on the Quad. Directly after the event, we will continue with the informal evening discussions in the West Lounge of the Royal Victoria Residences.

Evening Discussions

7:30 PM - 10:00 PM

The Thursday and Saturday evening sessions will be held in the air conditioned West Lounge of the Royal Victoria Residence right after the BBQ’s. These evening sessions are meant to complement the more formal lectures and give registrants the opportunity to interact with the faculty and other attendees in a relaxed atmosphere. Suitable refreshments will be available to lubricate scientific debate. The Friday evening vendor session and meal will be taken at the larger Douglas Hall Cafeteria at the top of University Ave near the Bishop Mountain Residences (15 minutes walk uphill).

Recreational Facilities

Registrants staying on campus may purchase a daily pass to the Athletics facility on Pine Avenue. Passes cost $6 CDN per day and are available for purchase at the security desk of the gym in the evenings. This pass includes the use of a 25 m pool, 8 gyms, 2 weight rooms, activity rooms and indoor and outdoor tennis courts.
