In order to encourage more programs to become CAMPEP-accredited, AAPM and RSNA have joined together to fund 50 percent of each trainee’s cost for 8 imaging physics residencies that are not currently CAMPEP accredited. Both organizations have committed $560,000 in support of this program. The awardee institutions will provide the other 50 percent support. After the period of the award is over, the intent is that the awardee institutions will continue to fully support the imaging physics residencies.
