Objectives & Outline

Objectives:

• Learn the principles of treatment planning, imaging, and radiobiology as applied to brachytherapy
• Explain the role of model-based dose calculation algorithms and their affects for several anatomic sites
• Provide an in-depth understanding on the application of brachytherapy for gynecological, breast, prostate (HDR and LDR), and skin diseases
• Clarify emerging technologies, clinical modalities, and intensity-modulated brachytherapy
