TU-H-702-0 (Tuesday, August 1, 2017) 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM Room: 702

90Y microsphere therapy complements other liver-directed therapies including external-beam radiation therapy, trans-arterial chemoembolization, and radio-frequency ablation in the management of liver tumors. There have been a number of recent advances in imaging techniques for treatment planning and absorbed dose quantification following 90Y microsphere therapy. These advances have helped promote the role of this therapy in the management of both primary and metastatic liver cancer.

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the current practices for 90Y microsphere therapy
2. Review imaging techniques for treatment planning and post-treatment verification, with emphasis on SPECT/CT and PET/CT based absorbed dose quantification
3. Review the recent literature on the clinical studies related to treatment efficacy and dose response
