APS Topical Group on Medical Physics
The American Physical Society (APS) Council of Representatives recently approved the formation of the Topical Group on Medical Physics (GMED).
Medical physics is a highly interdisciplinary field at the intersection of physics, medicine, and biology. Medical physics researchers include physical scientists, engineers, and mathematicians who work to develop improved medical imaging and treatment technologies, and to advance our understanding of the complexity of disease.
If you would like to be among the founding members of GMED, please add the topical group when you renew your APS membership, or join now through your APS member profile. If you have any questions on how to join or you are an APS Life Member, please contact membership@aps.org.
If you are interested in active participation in GMED, please contact Dr. Robert Jeraj.
