AAPM and Wiley Announce Publishing Partnership
AAPM has reached an agreement with John Wiley & Sons, Inc (Wiley) to become the publisher and distributor of both Medical Physics and the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics beginning in January, 2017. With this agreement both journals will be available on the same platform (Wiley Online Library) and will use the same editorial system for author submission and manuscript review.
My thanks to the members of the Ad Hoc Committee on Unifying Publishing Platforms (chaired by John Hazle) and the efforts of the journal Editors-in-Chief (Jeff Williamson and Michael Mills) and other members of the Editorial Leadership in bringing this effort to completion. I would also like to thank AAPM staff (Michael Woodward and Angela Keyser) for all their work with our publishing consultants and in finalizing the contract.
AAPM staff and the Editorial Boards have already begun the process of transitioning from our current publishers (AIP Publishing) to Wiley. While the transition process will require significant work, we expect little-to-no disruption in the editorial and publishing process while the transition is taking place.

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine and Wiley Announce Publishing Partnership
The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and John Wiley and Sons Inc. announced today a publishing partnership for AAPM’s prestigious portfolio of scholarly journals in medical physics. With over 8,000 members globally, the AAPM is one of the largest and most highly regarded professional organizations for researchers and scientists working in medical physics and related fields.
From January 2017, Wiley will assume publishing responsibility for AAPM’s flagship publication, Medical Physics, and its pioneering Open Access journal, Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics.
For over 50 years, the AAPM has been the leading scientific and professional organization in medical physics and related fields through its impactful publications, scientific meetings, educational programs, and government affairs initiatives.
