2014 AAPM Annual Meeting (Austin TX • July 20 - 24) - Request for Proposals (RFP) for Symposia
Symposia and Courses are an integral part of the AAPM annual meeting. Each year, symposia, panel discussions, and workshops on various practical and emerging topics provide members with excellent learning opportunities and a forum for discussion. Symposia and Courses can be scientific, educational, practical, or professional in nature (or a combination):
- Therapy Symposium
- Imaging Symposium
- Joint Imaging/Therapy Symposium
- Educational Course
- SAMs Educational Course (click here for specific guidelines for SAMs courses) Note: If your SAMs proposal is accepted, a submission following the above guidelines will be required at a later time.
- Practical Medical Physics Course
- Professional Course
We would like to encourage you to submit ideas for the 2014 Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas. To submit an application for a Symposium or Course (including SAMs) click here. Please respond by October 1, 2013.
Proposals should include the following:
- Type of session (see list above)
- Title
- General Topic Area (short paragraph; 250 words maximum)
- Learning Objectives
- Possible Speakers and/or Moderators
- Your Contact Information
Please note that your proposal is meant to serve as a suggested topic of interest, along with a recommended list of speakers. All proposals will be reviewed by the AAPM Program Directors, who will make the final selection of topic, content, moderator, and speakers. Selection of proposals will also be based on criteria such as the theme for the 2014 meeting and topics presented in previous years. Not all proposals will be accepted, and some proposals may be combined
